Paying fees for girls in Zola Zola Secondary Schoo

Secondary schools in Malawi are expensive and a lottery for donors.
Private secondary schools are expensive and mainly unregulated. Students who have financial support can get in with poor qualifications and end up worse, in other words, a complete waste of money and time.
We generally pay fees for girls, and they must have qualified for Government Secondary school. They must be poor and be hard workers. We study all exam reports and comments and we have a two yellow cards and the funding goes to someone else. Mary meets all our students when we visit, talks to students, teachers and Parents/Guardians to make sure all is well.
Rhoda, the principal here is an amazing woman and looks after her students as if they were her own children. One of our girls (one of our donors pay her fees), 15, got pregnant, had her baby and Rhoda has arranged for her to return and complete her secondary schooling. This is so sad, occurs regularly, certainly not her fault, and gladly won't mean a life of slavery for her, because she has Rhoda looking after her interests.
The tall girl at the back is Mary, best results in the school in her JCSE exams, has to travel a long distance, so we bought her a bike. Her big toes peep through her shoes, while her jumper is spotless but threadbare, just things to be sorted. Books, copies and materials needed as well. It doesn't cost alot, but will make such a difference to their lives and prospects.
It's women, are the best hope Malawi has. We need to educate them
