kirkbymoorside Railway Station

This pile of what is now rubble was once quite a quaint derelict railway station on the edge of kirkby.

It used to be connected to the main line but was disconnected in 1964, some politicians brain storm no doubt.

I always thought it would be converted into a store or some sort of bikers cafe (lots of bikers on this road). Alas kirby like penrith has been deemed ready for a supermarket, a tesco's no less!
