the view from Rudy's bed

Rudy and Alice have an ever growing wall of things; a collection of (just like the drawer says) bits and bobs. The drawings/paintings/prints are mainly from friends. The two baby drawings are ones that I made of Rudy and Alice.

It makes me sad to admit that I made countless drawings of Rudy as a baby; the one pictured above (the lower of the two) was made on the third day after his birth - I drew him and started to understand that he was real - peering at him through the see-through sides of the hospital cot. The one of Alice was made when she was three months old and (this is the tough bit) is the only drawing that I have made of her. I am sure that this is to do with the second child no time thing. But. I don't know if she will understand that. I need to peer at her a bit more...
