Gone to seed, but...

I spotted this blossom on our afternoon walk in Holden Arboretum. I don't know what it is, and it is obviously past its prime, but to my eye it is still beautiful. I know an older woman, much loved by many, of whom we could say the same. Maybe it is something we should all aspire to...Don't give in to the ravages of time, hang in there, stand up as straight as you can, and bloom, bloom, bloom!
