Color Aloft
An amazing creation in the window gallery in the deCordova Museum west of Boston. (It's quite dazzling large.) Edit: My ornithothogist friend was frustrated that he couldn't identify the bird. He also noted that the heads (esp. lower left) establish the scale.
The museum has existed since 1950, but even though I had been born and grew up in the Boston area through my teens, I had never visited it. Its focus is contemporary art, both in the museum building and the very spacious sculpture garden which surrounds it. Our visit was an altogether fascinating experience. We visited it with our host Jeannie and her friend Dorothy.
The whole extended weekend was a wonderful Thanksgiving experience--I don't visit Boston often enough.
