Day out

We decided to go out for the day rather than the usual cinema or bowling for entertainment and it was fab.
Took the train from Alloa to Edinburgh. Incredibly good value, about quarter of the cost of south west trains.
Wandered for a breakfast roll then found the newly refurbished museum of Scotland.
Spent the whole day there. The boys loved the interactive science stuff, the animals and the space and planet exhibits.
It felt well put together in a fabulous building with lots to look at and people were smiling all day.
There is a 7th floor roof terrace with fantastic 360 degree views of Edinburgh.
Highly recommended.
My blip, however, is the view from north bridge looking over to the Christmas fair in princess street gardens. We were too worn out to go there!
Therein followed a pleasant trip home, a mince pie supper- obviously- then a meet up with family and friends for lots of liver bashing.
We squeezed a lot in.
Hence the back blipping.
