No Smoke Without Fire

Continuing my project, I started image number 2, the result of which is here.

Didn't have time to explain yesterday but what I am up to is the long term preparation of an exhibition to form part of our local contribution to the Irish Festival of Photography in summer 2013. Next year the festival will be concentrated in Dublin, as in 2010 and 2011 but for 2013 the organisers are looking forward to requesting contributions from outside the city. I have volunteered to organise the Arklow event and I have started work on it already. The working title for my series is "Things are not what they appear to be".

In reply to queries from yesterday.... No that book isn't real. Well, the big one is but the small one is only the exact same shot, scaled down, chopped almost in half and "stuck" on the end. I haven't quite got it right yet. Next stage will be to shoot from a slightly higher angle and then comes the problem of making the protruding book look more realistic (shadows etc)

Al for now. Off to Dublin for Christmas shopping.
