A walk round the lake

After a stormy, rainy, blustery night which finished off the leaves on many of the shrubs in the garden, it cleared to a beautiful morning. This photo was taken at the third lake behind the Marina at Barton-under-Needwood (Staffordshire). This one is the Anglers Lake and is often shut off to the general public.

We originally went in search of a walk around the Dunstall Estate. We couldn't find either the car park or the start of the walk so we need to do a bit more research. On our drive round we did come across

Dunstall Church

Against the backdrop of such beauty, we have been reminded of sadness, with the news of the death of footballer, Gary Speed. And while we were walking round the lake we saw the arrival of the

Air Ambulance

As the event it was approaching was a Sunday morning sports match, we feared the worst and hope that nobody was too seriously injured.
