Crafty Squirrel.........!!

I sat and watched the final episode of AutumnWatch and AutumnWatch Unsprung earlier on the BBc iPlayer, both brilliant programmes and will be sadly missed here in the Bell household.
I thought i'd rearrange the various feeders we have in the back garden, bring the bird bath from the bottom of the garden to the top patio, and hang some fatballs from various branches around the garden.
Got everything moved and hung out a couple of fat balls.
Patted myself on the back, poured myself a very large Bacardi and Coke, and sat back ready to see all the birds flocking to the feeders.
In Reality, it was a very quiet afternoon, there was a constant stream of Blue, Coal and Great Tits making the most of the peanuts, while the Green finches hit the sunflower seeds and the Gold Finches made the most of the Nyger Seed.
So the only regular missing would be the Hyper Squirrel..........
Well actually he did make an appearance, hopping along the top of the panel fence, but didn't come all the way down to the peanut feeder, his attention was held by the 2 fat balls i'd hung out earlier.
No word of a lie, within 5 mintues the little sod had chewed through the green netting that contained the fat balls and he'd carried them off to god knows where.
Lesson learn't, i won't be hanging out any more fat balls unless they're in one of those wire containers...........
