Fly Line Mist
This is a disused railway and now path-come-bridleway that runs from Garforth to Allerton Bywater. Lauren and Tom now have a house at Allerton Bywater and Jayne and I decided we needed some exercise and so walked in the murk mist to have lunch at The Boat which is just around the corner from Lauren and Tom's.
We had a great lunch and the beer was nice too which is a bonus for me. We called in for a few minutes, on L and T, on the way back but what we hadn't factored in was it being dark when we got back on the Fly Line. This is when the iPhones came in handy, with the flash-light app, to watch out for various hazards.
I think the original use of the 'lines' was to run coal from the various pits around Garforth to the Aire and Calder Navvy. Apparently it would then mbe loaded onto the Tom Pudding boats to go wherever.
