Chilled dessert

Well, we've moved.

After a slow start due to Mr B's allergies (hard to carry half a wardrobe when you can't stop sneezing) we managed to get everything bigger than the car boot into the van. Three trips later, and it was all done.

Our friend from Castres brought the kids back, and we settled in for a nice family dinner. Of course with no gas connector for the hob and not enough electricity for the oven (not to mention no food in the fridge) there was the inevitable Sunday night search for food in France. And yes, Mr B did bring home MacDonalds. But, as you can see, there were Tunnocks caramel wafers for dessert, which can't be bad. 

The computer is on the kitchen bench so that we can live in two rooms for the next few days - that being the maximum number we think we can heat with our current electricity supply. The kids are tucked up in bed under three duvets each, with a hot water bottle to ensure toes stay warm.

But at least we're finally in. Now the adventure truly begins.
