Flower meadow

Today started with a snowy walk up in the Olympic National Park (NW Washington). The road to the head of the trail we wanted to walk was blocked by snow (10 foot of it) but we found enough free of snow to keep us busy for a chilly hour or so. When the clouds lifted we could see across the water to Canada (Vancouver Island), and we certainly had the trails to ourselves!

We filled the rest of the day with lower level walks, up to some lovely waterfalls, and this picture is taken next to Crescent Lake. K doesn't normally look this angelic so I was quite happy to catch a sweet shot of her.
