Raven at the Ring of Brodgar
I visited the bird-hide at Barnhouse, then walked along the road to the reserve at Brodgar and into the neolithic stone circle. Ten ravens were flying in the circle and perching on the stones. This shot is quite cropped...they are hard birds to sneak up on. A hen harrier hunted over the stones too and there were masses of ducks on the lochs, though I saw just one Slavonian grebe.
A couple more shots here.
