Dead Pan

I frequently have to take photos of my students working. These go in their BTEC files as evidence that they have in fact done it - hollow sprints in this case. No longer is the teachers word sufficient.

Anyway, I thought I would use this opportunity to practice my panning skills. It was harder than I thought to capture the students crisply, with the background all blurred. The light in the sports hall is very poor. Perhaps it is because when you sprint your head moves up and down as well as laterally.

Has anyone got any panning tips? shutter speed etc??

It was much easier, but also much less interesting, to get evidence shots of their static stretches!
