The first day in Liverpool, happily spent wandering round the Albert Dock, meeting up with my niece and her husband, who were also visiting this great city, a fun tour of the city in a DUKW, and a pukka meal in 'Jamie's Italian' at night before crashing out at this prestigious Hotel.


The Manchester City team were staying here before their match at Anfield. Such sad news filtering through about Gary Speed. I so liked that man. R.I.P.
