The Result

Well, it's hard to be sure of course, but the results of yesterday's decision to make a Christmas cake appear to be promising.

The smell as it was baking was really lovely - evocative too; I find there's nothing more Christmassy than the fragrance of orange zest and allspice. And the joy of this is that I now have to wrap this up and put it away for a bit so I can remain in denial for a wee bit longer.
