Feeding Frenzy at Zuanich
While driving home from my morning pickleball game at the YMCA, I was thinking it was much too nice a day to stay indoors and work in the afternoon. C had been having the same thought, so we took Miss Annie to Zuanich Point Park and spent a very enjoyable couple of hours shooting photos.
Zuanich is a very popular Bellingham park named after Peter Zuanich Sr., a popular local philanthropist who served served 43 years as a Port Commissioner.
The park, overlooking Squalicum Harbor, is one of my favorite places and has provided me with several blips. It's very popular with dog walkers, kite flyers and people who just want to enjoy the wonderful views of Mt. Baker, Lummi Island, downtown Bellingham, and the pleasure boats and fishing vessels in the harbor. Something for everyone! We found it hard to tear ourselves away, even as the temperature began to drop sharply at dusk.
We're sitting at home enjoying some Rogue chocolate stout while trying to decide which of our many photos to blip. It's always interesting to compare what we've taken. You can see C's blip here.
I put a few more photos on Flickr.
