.....no, make that 'a plate of sweet tamarind'. I still don't know what I'm going to do with yesterdays impulse buy but at least I've got a blip out of them. FYI I've tried some....they have a brittle pod and the flesh of the fruit is rather like a date, nice flavour/sweet but with a slight sour undertone, and big seeds that are apparently delicious roasted/toasted......all a bit fiddly (and definitely sticky) though. Hey, you live and learn!
PS Any recipe suggestions gratefully received!
PPS.....yeah,yeah, I know what they look like!!
