Finches on the nyjer seed feeder.

I have switched over the buffet menu selections at the bird feeder to include safflower seed, which the squirrels wont eat. A bag of fruit and nut mix was being consumed really quickly, because the blue jays were picking out seed from the feeder and throwing what they didn't want on the ground. Now I have a brick of fruit and nut, so hopefully less of that will be wasted. The squirrels do quite well. When it gets really cold they'll have peanuts, critter mix and dried corn cobs to keep them going.The suet is a huge hit! I have seen lots of woodpeckers. One really big woodpecker fella was here this morning.
