Portobello Old Parish Church

We came here this morning for a rehearsal for our Carol Concert on Friday evening, December 2nd, finalising the acoustics, seating, entrance-and-exits and so on. We sang here some years ago as part of a Methodist Church choir; since then we have split into other congregations but still sing together under the name of Octave, although there are nine of us!!!

The programme is similar to our popular Christmas concerts of days gone by which were in Tollcross, with plenty of audience participation and some less-well-known carols, and, if we are very good, Santa might put in an appearance.

I only took one photo today. I expected to take a better one when leaving but by then it was teeming with rain so we came straight home.
