Watch me grow!
Rather strange blip today.
This is one of a row of (what I think are) non weeping willow trees which line my road. Up until last month they delighted me when I walked down the road after work, with their sea-like rustling and ever changing leaves, not to mention the fact that they block out the noise of the railway.
Then someone complained that the leaves were falling on their car.
Along came the council with their chainsaws and hacked down my lovely willows. All that was left were a few naked stumps oozing sap.
This week they grew leaves and my heart sung! Hopefully in a few months I will be able to hear their soothing rustling again. Hurray for the trees!
