Muddy River Forth
"Oh and it's raining again,
Raining again........"*
This is just a quick photograph in the rain of the River Forth at the Old Bridge in Stirling. Huge volumes of muddy water flowing to the sea after what seems like endless heavy rain.
It's not the brightest of photographs - matches the grey, wet, windy morning. I was trying to keep the camera sheltered under an umbrella whilst standing on a narrow pavement on a busy road bridge so there was a limit to the amount of time to compose the shot. The bridge is usually photographed on fine sunny days or bright days with pristine snow on the ground but its useful to photograph it in bad weather too. I got some other photos from both banks of the river to play around with different camera setting - got pretty wet in the process. Thank goodness for waterproof clothing!
Motorways and roads in the Stirling area were closed this morning due to flooding. Chaotic stuff for travellers.
