Poorly

As suspected, I woke up feeling very poorly and had to call in sick. My son was also poorly and stayed at home with me. I tried to make a roaring fire but wasn't very succesful. I lost count how many firelighters I used.

Hubby had arranged for a lady plumber (known as the lady gas man) to come round and look at our boiler. He has spent hours trying to work out why the central heating isn't working property. She told us that the person who installed our new boiler two years ago probbaly didn't flush the system and he should have.

Daughter #2 spent ages tidying up the kitchen. She even tidied up her brother's bedroom !

In the evening, a couple of kids from down the road threw a stone at our window (and cracked it). They ran off but we managed to follow them without them realising. They were outside their front door waiting for mum/dad to open it. They panicked when they realised they'd been caught. Dad (who'd opened the front door) was not impressed.
