Yummy

I really enjoyed this but it wasn't at the place we were intending to go. The weather was just so windy and it would have been a long drive so we have decided we might go out to Cheshire on Friday instead and today we settled for a meal at a local pub which was a Hungry Horse.

Went up to the care home to take some things and sat with mum for a while. It was lovely seeing her and also spending time with the other lovely women who are staying there.

Only one issue and I hadn't put it in my notes for them so I was kicking myself a bit. It was that mum was sat watching tv which was showing an episode of the Professionals with guns and violence. These kinds of programmes upset mum and she thinks they are happening in front of her in real life.

I told the nurse and she tried to change channel but didn't seem to know how and ended up turning it off. She brought a male nurse in and between them they got it back on and it showed the programme finishing so they left.

Unfortunately what came on next was The Saint. I couldn't find anyone to ask about changing it so didn't really know what to do for the best. Luckily it was just before lunch so hopefully she wouldn't have had to put up with it for long and maybe could have chatted with the other ladies instead.

I might write something down to be added to her notes and take that in next time I'm there. Or phone them tomorrow about it.
