Rewards of Getting Lost

A good friend from Texas called yesterday announcing that she was in NY for a job interview & asking if could we see each other on Friday. One of the joys of my job is that I could say YES! Bob wanted to take her to his favorite local farm. After saying Hello to the animals, we took a little hike on the grounds. Instead of retracing our steps, we elected to follow another dirt road that would surely circle around to get us back to the farm. Well, as we traveled up and up a hill, watching the minutes tick away when she had a train to catch, we realized that we were lost. We saw this vista ahead and were rewarded with this gorgeous view and a shortcut back to the farm. We had to climb a fence, but we got her to the train on time.
