Back to the birds!
We have a blue skied sunny interval before the next wet front moves in. So, after yester-rainy-day's foray into photoshop magic, it's back to the birds today. They say 'birds of a feather flock together' but there's a right old mix of feathers at feeding time in my mother's garden.
Here are two sparrows and a chaffinch, but they were among lots of other ground-feeders: greenfinches, dunnocks, blackbirds and robins. (The blue-tits prefer the height of the bird table, but were there in number, too.) Oh, and the increasingly spherical pigeon and two more slender woodpigeons arrived, as usual. No starlings this morning which was a surprise: they're usually there in flocks!
Many, many thanks for all the generous comments and stars for my yesterblip: a real surprise, and lovely to hit the spotlight page. Have a good day, folks!
