Crazy skies

on Monday we had to drive back from Lausanne to London. We started late cause the garage took longer than planned to change the tyres, but it wasnt too bad as I think we managed to miss almost all traffic that way.

The weather was awful at the beginning, and improved slowly as we went north-west - we got a real sunset at the end!

It's not easy to get decent short from a moving car on a motorway, but I tried loads, and some even came out ok, in spite of motion blur and dirty windscreen.

Here's one of them taken between Dijon and Reims.

The low clouds were just under a break in the high clouds so they were lit from above, and the contrast was striking!
