Granny Campbell flits

My lovely wee Granny Campbell moved home today. She has sold her house & moved into a flat in a local sheltered housing complex. She's 94 and so it has been a big day for her.

Here's a snap of her fabulous dresses hanging in her new wardrobe. I've rarely seen her in any of these garments, but she was keen to keep them all. Good for her!

Granny Campbell was a policeman's wife and has had to tolerate umpteen 'flits' in her lifetime to coincide with my grandpa's job. Most of these were last minute, often with only a couple of days notice and moving vans queuing up outside her home long before she had finished packing. In a way, she has become quite resilient to moving.

It will be sad to cheerio to the home she has had since retirement, the only place I've ever known her to live. Life moves on though and I hope she settles well in her new abode.
