Wednesday: Skyline

I was on a course today so walked from Waterloo to work as it was such a lovely clear morning.  There don't seem to be many mornings like this at the moment.

The police were out in force today, and Trafalgar Square was cordoned off, all in connection with the biggest strike action we have had in a generation.  That said, there was no evidence of any trouble and all seemed to pass smoothly......so far.......K. was on strike today but I wasn't.....although I am in the union my particular civil service department is just not particularly unionised so only a small number of staff striked - struck - stricked?  What is the past tense of 'strike'?

Off for a beer and a curry now.........
