Star Crossed
Day 444
So many people dislike Shakespeare because of their school experiences with his work. However, with me it's because of my school experience with Romeo and Juliet that I feel I can appreciate his genius a little better. It taught me to appreciate the word play (in R&J actually pretty racy stuff!) and the beautiful themes running the whole way through. Light and stars are one of the themes, and my favourite quote which relates to this is from Act II, Scene II
Juliet:...Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.
