This is Rudy and a couple of pals at the end of our march. I am aware that their excited demeanor (especially Rudy) look as if they might be ready to kick off at any minute - tiny agitators. But.

....Actually what was happening was lots of excited screaming; at first hard to decipher and then slowly I realised they were 'tiny' screams of "BANNERS FOR SALE"..."BUY THIS FLAG" etc

Not really (or at all) in the spirit of the day, but very irritating for the film crew trying to report in the background so I didn't attempt too hard to quash the banter.

It was a great day and a very well attended demonstration. There is solace in knowing and having reaffirmed the strength of union especially when we are consistently drip fed an opposing message. Exemplified by the Prime Minister's statement today that the strike had been a "damp squib".

I am not sure how two million workers on strike can be described as he did.

I hope there will be plenty images to look through on blip later. But, in the meantime if you are interested please go and visit my pals.....
