1. I had booked in a morning at home to write copy that really needed writing. Sometimes when I work at home I just get to it in ma jammies, but today I got up and ready, yoga and make-up done before 10, so every minute was well spent. I knew that if I got this work done by tonight I would leave very happy.

2. I met Caroline in town at lunch to help her lug a massive big mirror from shop to car. Like a very glamorous Laurel and Hardy we managed it. The great big smacker she gave me as a thank you made it all worthwhile.

3. Karen starts with us today. It's a good thing having her in the office. It's a busy day and I get everything that I need to get done before I leave, which is a very good feeling. I was right about getting that work done this morning. There's cake next door and a nice atmosphere in the office. It feels like Friday. Which it kind of is. I'm on holiday.

4. I made risotto tonight. Pam was talking about a cooking course she went on, I have a stack of mushrooms to use up, badda bing, plan. It tasted really good and I like it when I cook. I'm not bad at it and it would do me good to remember that.

5. This is the view from where I am snuggled right now, happy as Larry. The rain is lashing against those windows, the room is cosy, the wine is courtesy of Kate as a thank you for re-upholstering her chair, the books are borrowed. It's peaceful here tonight. And no work tomorrow.
