Showers with sunny intervals

Typical Nothland weather today, heavy showers with hot sunny periods. I spent the day finishing off decorating, installing new light fittings, walking Ollie and gardening. Fortunately the timing was right and the outside tasks coincided with the sunny weather.
I cut down the banana trees that had fruited this year. The gospel according to Google informed me that Bananas are actually a herb, and won't fruit again on the same shoot. As I said yesterday, I've still a lot to learn about gardening down here !
