Vintage Bentley in the morning sun
Bentley 3/4.5 Supersports.
Only 19 of these '100 mph' 3 litre short chassis Bentleys were ever made. This is the 2nd to come off the production line at Cricklewood in 1925.
One of the 19 won Le Mans in 1927 (in those days they just drove to the race in the car, raced, won and drove home again!)
Later in the 20th Century, many 4.5 litre engines were taken out of Bentley saloons and put into the shorter open chassis 3 litre sports cars to make an even faster car. This being such an example.
Somewhat harder to drive than a modern car, but infinitely more rewarding, I use it to go shopping at Tesco's when the sun is shining or open the village fete.
