Cycle trip

A great way to explore the city is definitely by bicycle.

We both joined the locals and hopped on a bike for the day. It was rather cheap at about £1.50 and certainly very environmentally friendly. Though our token effort obviously did little to reduce the thick smog that hung over the city. It really is as bad as they say. Even though taken on a bright and sunny day, you can tell from this shot that things aren't as clear as they quite should be.

Took loads of interesting photos, but this one really made me realise I was in China. It was quite a sight seeing these troops marching in front of the entrance to Tiananmen Square with Mao Tse-tung overlooking.
