Birches
This is part of a lovely stand of birch trees. I have wanted to photograph them for ages and today I got the opportunity.
Today I was reading an article about meditation and it touched in part on photography. The article pointed out that the act of photographing something usually uses aggressive terms to describe that action. For instance we use capture, take, shoot, grab, snap or steal photographs of objects or people.
I realise that images don't just float into our cameras but does the thought of this aggressive action fulfil some primevil need for the hunt or some such.
Am I just over thinking it? Can anyone come up with a little more passive description for getting the images in our cameras?
