Processing Step 1

Today I started taking the first step in programming my prototype. First I planned on using the programming language of Processing. Here you see the Processing installation file unzipping, my laptop is actually processing Processing.

As it turned out later on, it is way more convenient to program my Arduino Mini and Arduino Uno with the Arduino programming environment. But it is based on and very similar to Processing as I soon discovered.

It has been quite a while since I programmed in such a linear language, for the past few years I programmed in Max/MSP, which is very visual and non-linear. Now I have to refresh my Java programming skills, but it is coming back quickly.
