Edinburgh College of Art used to have world renowned tapestry weaving department. Over the years it seemed to become diluted to installations, every year there is something about a hospital bed, a dolls house and lots of emotional problem related work.
Now I have nothing against this but it's NOT tapestry.
Every year I get very het up about it and rant on to poor Joe, who is not in the least bit interested.
Anyway you can imagine my delight today, when we visited the degree show, that I noticed that from next year the course will, in a most pretentious fashion, be called Intermedia art.
Other wise known as 'a bit of this, a bit of that.....'
Oh and this is my piece for my MFA Tapestry entitled 'Drought'.
