First day back at work after 5 months, 2 weeks and 3 days off. But who's counting.

There's nothing more unseemly than the sight of grown adults scrambling to get a seat on the 7.22am from Weybridge. Don't be fooled by the ones who look like they're reading a newspaper and are relaxed about standing up for 40 minutes at this time of the morning. They would sell their grandmother for a seat. All they are doing is giving other less experienced commuters a false sense of confidence. Over the years, their ears have become finely tuned to the noise the doors make two seconds before opening, at which point they make their lunatic-like dash for a seat.

Never mind the gap, mind the hot coffee.
