Refreshing!

Well it certainly was a refreshing day on the fells this morning. Six of us turned out, but with a collection of niggles and injuries we were back at the cars in just over an hour and a half. So wet on setting out that I din't even carry a camera - hence this blip. Conditions on top of Winter Hill were such that making progress into the headwind was a considerable challenge. Still three of us managed just under 8 miles with a fair bit of climbing, but not the 'long run' we usually get in on a Saturday. After a hot drink and shower, a nice cold glass of cordial with the bubbles from sparkling water needed to start the rehydration process - Cheers!
