Lunan Bay
We were going to go up Stob Binnein with Dave but chickened out when we heard the weather forecast - didn't want to get up at 6.15 and drive 2 hours to get blown off the hill. So we didn't get up early, went the other way to Lunan Bay, a very fine beach. Sometimes in summer there can be a lot of litter spoiling it, but it was pristine today and only a few other people out. The wind was cold, sand blowing made nice patterns, sanderlings on the edge of the water were fun to fotograph, and as you can see the sun shone.
Then we went to the Scottish Wildlife Trust visitor centre at Montrose Basin and saw plenty more birds including good views of greenshank and black tailed godwit in perfect light.
When we got home it was raining.
PS my sister put me to shame with my yesterday's blip.
