Suffolk Pink
It being the first Saturday of the month, today was my local Farmers' Market. Popped along there for breakfast (bacon bap) and picked up a few bits and pieces. It was very busy as usual - it's a very popular market.
I then decided, as I think I'll be busier next weekend which is when I would usually buy it, to go and get my Christmas tree from the local farm. I did try taking some pictures of the fields of trees but they didn't really work - too much green.
On the way back to the car I passed the farmhouse and thought I'd take a photo of it because it is typical of the architecture round here. Thatched as you can see and painted the very pale pink which is known as Suffolk Pink. Many old houses in Suffolk are painted but they have to be just right or the colour is too much. This one is spot on.
Must try and find a good example of pargetting too as there are many examples around here. I'm so lucky to live in an area which has so many fine domestic buildings.
