Sanderling

Too wild to go up the hills so went to Lunan Bay where it was beautiful and sunny with some protection by the dunes from the wind.
A group of sanderling were in and out of the waves and this is the best of my many shots.
We then went to Montrose Basin and did some more birdwatching in comfort - redshank, greenshank, oyster catcher, knot, black-tailed godwit, eider, shelduck, curlew, cormorant, black-backed gull, mallard, pheasant, tree sparrow, house sparrow, bluetit, chaffinch, goldfinch - and I've probably forgotten some.
Raining by the time we got home.
