Seriously into Christmas shopping now (well I'm not, but L & G are, and I'm driving!). Lots more were also doing the same, as the car parks were 'nearly full' according to the real-time display.
When I wasn't taking Emma round the Christmas decoration shops, I occupied myself for a while in a branch of the well-known electronics and computing parts shop, named after, I am sure :), the holiday camp in the tv comedy, Hi-Di-Hi.
Later, armed with my new set or precision Torx 'star' screwdrivers, I proceeded to rip the heart of my SatNav out, in order to change the battery. Most people would give up and buy another, but the prospect of saving £260 drove me on and I now have a useful device that can be used without the need to plug it into the power every time! I'm sure they sell them with naff batteries so that you are forced to buy the latest model and throw the old.
This is a Plane tree - but according to my book, not the more common London Plane, but probably the American Sycamore or Plane tree - identifiable by the number of flowers/fruits/achenes hanging in each bunch.
