Old and New in Brisbane

We arrived home this afternoon about 4pm after a lovely few days in Brisbane.
This area of Brisbane has undergone a renewal over the last decade or so and this view of the lovely old church amongst the modern buildings has always caught my eye.
The drive to Brisbane and back has just got shorter thanks to the new Ballina bypass which just opened last week. It only took three hours to get home this time. Off now to a farewell party for old friends who are moving inland to live up on the Tablelands - we are going to miss them a lot but will now have an excuse to visit that lovely area more often.
