The Travellers Rest

My daughter was at a Christmas Fayre this afternoon, so my wife and I walked a couple of miles to this pub outside Caerphilly. It was a good, muddy walk through the forest (a 'hunt' passed us on horses, but with no dogs). We had our dog, so sat outside, had a sandwich and a pint and then walked back.
The pub dates back to the 1800s and was presumably a stopping point for people heading for Cardiff from the valleys.
