From One Extreme ...
.... to the other. After last Sunday's 10" monster specimen - (HERE IT IS AGAIN) - which elicited gasps of "Oh my God it is enormous" and "Golly it's HUGE" accompanied by relevant risque quite innocent convos and hilarity from a couple of my female co-blippers (yes girls, YOU know who you are! lol), today I found these tiny little things growing on a piece of wood near the stream bank. They're no more than 1" in height and maybe 1/2" across their caps.
I felt compelled to revisit The Monster to see how it was faring - you can see from THIS PIC that, as often happens with living things, the passage of time has caused a certain amount of withering and reduction in size! The once proud Monster is now just a shadow if its former self.
I also found THESE growing nearby.
