Bêtes off, Conciergerie

Th is still madly studying for her midterms (or compositions groupées as they are called here). She has to write three tomorrow, her longest day so far.

Ch and I left her alone to study and went to visit the Conciergerie. As I've posted already, Ch has to do an exposé on the French revolution on Tuesday so this seemed like an appropriate outing. There was a neat contemporary art show in the salle des gens d'armes at the Conciergerie and we liked this work by Claire Morgan, Here is The End of All Things (2011). After looking at this show, we watched a video about the French revolution and headed to visit the prison section of the building. The wax figures in the prison cells were a bit much for Ch, though, and we had to cut the visit short. Pauvre puce!
