Wet wheel

I sheltered from the torrential rain in the doorway of Manchester's Arndale Centre taking this and a few lesser pictures.

A horrid day for shopping and very difficult for photography too. At one stage, trying in vain to make Manchester Central look good in the dim light, I heard what I thought was a powerful street cleaning machine approaching. It was a hailstorm rushing across the City.

The day improved after lunch, seeing Moneyball, a great film from an unlikely book. I love baseball so was certain to be interested but even those who aren't can relish the story and the characters. Fascinating theme about the nature of success and failure. And I am told some viewers quite like Brad Pitt.
