Desperate measures
Despite filling up every spare inch of fridge and freezer yesterday with festive food I still felt the need to go to Iceland today..... And I don't mean the country. Although I only spent £9 trying to fit said £9 worth of food into the space the size of a walnut was More than a little challenging.
I did have to remove 4 giant Yorkshire puddings to achieve the great freezer challenge but the family were more than happy to polish these off for Sunday lunch. I'm not a fan of self promotion but I have to say that I may, next to my mother of course, make the best gravy in the world.
This evening I planned to settle down with a nice glass of red.... Unfortunately the mammoth shop didn't include and wine and what we have brought won't be delivered until tomorrow. Can u believe the only thing left in the cupboard is cherry lambrini. Who buys this stuff..... Is a question I repeatedly asked myself..... Me apparently!!!!!
It's either this or a 14 yr old bottle of grappa lurking in the back of the drinks cabinet. Does grappa get better with age, or just when you throw it out. I'm not sure.
